Christmas Square to light up the city

Fed Square will transform into Christmas Square this December; a magical Christmas wonderland to delight visitors from near and far.

From a 16m tall LED Christmas Tree with 192 individually programmed branched, to the popular giant selfie-bauble; from free Christmas movies in the Square, to site wide projects to a specially commissioned Christmas film on the Digital Facade, there will be no escaping the festival season at Fed Square.

Produced by Fed Square and the City of Melbourne, Christmas Square is set to be the ‘must-see’ Christmas attraction in Melbourne this year.

Fed Square CEO Jonathan Tribe said: “A spectacularly unique experience, there is something for people of all ages at Christmas Square and I encourage everyone to pop down and discover all that it has to offer. Events like these are a great drawcard for visitors to the square and the city.”

This year, the popular Gingerbread Village by EPICURE is in Fed Square, with a bigger than ever Gingerbread display.  There are also nightly light shows and projections across the site, pop-in visits from Santa and his elves and live choirs on Thursday evenings.
