How do I get to Federation Square?

Federation Square is located on the corner of Swanston Street and Flinders Street in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, arts and sporting precinct. Federation Square is across the road from Flinders Street Station – Melbourne’s major public transport hub, and can easily be reached by train, tram, bus, boat, bike and car. Federation Square is also within walking distance of major Melbourne attractions including the National Gallery of Victoria (International), Botanical Gardens, Crown Casino, Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Eureka Tower.

When is Federation Square open?

How much does it cost to visit Federation Square?

Entry to Federation Square is FREE. Admission prices to ticketed events and exhibitions that are hosted at Federation Square are routinely listed with the event details in our daily calendar.

 


How do I find the venue for the event I’m attending?

Federation Square is home to a range of venues, including Deakin Edge, The Atrium, The Amphitheatre, River Terrace, the Main Square and Federation Wharf. To locate your venue please download the Federation Square Map attached.

There are accessible public toilets and baby-change facilities located in the Main Square next to Time Out and in The Atrium, next to Kirra Galleries. Many onsite cafes and restaurants also have toilets available for customer use.

 


 

Is there any parking at Federation Square?

Federation Square has its own multi-level car park, which is accessible from Russell Street or Batman Ave (Exhibition Street extension – City Link). The Federation Square Car Park is open 24hrs and has accessible spaces located on each level.
