Wheelchair Hire and Accessibility Services
Need some help getting around? The Melbourne Mobility Centre provides wheelchairs, scooters, walking frames, children’s strollers, vision canes and other mobility aids for hire. Located on the bottom level of the Fed Square Car Park, the Melbourne Mobility Centre is a unique service dedicated to improving accessibility in Melbourne’s CBD.
The Mobility Centre also offers complimentary tea and coffee, accessible toilets, accessible baby change facilities and staff can provide advice on accessing venues and attractions throughout the city.
The Melbourne Mobility Centre is operated by YMCA Victoria on behalf of the City of Melbourne, the Mobility Centre helps make Federation Square and the surrounds more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Please note: Melbourne Mobility Centre will be closed on 6, 7 & 9 April.
Melbourne Mobility Centre Pricelist:
» All scooters (3 + 4 wheeled) and electric wheelchairs: $3.50 per hour or $28 per day
» Folding + rigid frame manual wheelchairs: $2 per hour or $16 per day
» Walking frames, adjustable walking sticks, vision canes, elbow crutches all $5 per day or $2.50 for half-day hire
» Children’s strollers $10 per day, $50 cash deposit
50% discounts are available for valid concession card holders.
