Free lunchtime concerts

Enjoy your favourite music all year round with Classics at Fed Square.


Held in the stunning surrounds of the Deakin Edge, these free monthly concerts offer something for everyone, from classical and swing to big band, jazz and even contemporary pop!

  • 3 February – William Soo, Pianist. 2013 Zelman Symphony Concerto Winner, Presenting Chopin – 4 Ballades
  • 3 March – Margaret Kong, Pianist. 2011 3MBS Young Performer of the Year
  • 7 April – Melbourne Strings Ensemble
  • 5 May – Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School
  • 2 June – Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School
  • 7 July – No Concert
  • 4 August – Brunswick Secondary College
  • 1 September – Dandenong Ranges Music Council 
  • 6 October – Duo Chamber Melange, Tamara Smolyar (piano) and Ivana Tomaskova (violin) 
    As part of the Victorian Seniors Festival Lifeview concert series 
  • 3 November – Blackwood Ensemble, Monash University

When: First Monday of each month, 12pm - 1pm

Price: Free

The program includes plenty of old favourites from the Melbourne Strings Ensemble to some of the best creative schools across Victoria. Bring a friend and make a day of it, with free exhibitions at ACMI and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia and plenty of great cafes open for lunch or coffee.
