Classics at Fed Square

Enjoy your favourite music all year round with Classics at Fed Square.

Held in the stunning surrounds of the Deakin Edge, these free monthly concerts offer something for everyone, from classical and solo performances to big band, jazz and even contemporary pop!

  • 1 February – Kevin Chow and Margaret Kong (pianists)
  • 4 April – Piano solo: Hannah Shin
    Hannah is an exceptionally talented pianist and a brilliant live performer. She recently won the Frankston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Prize (performing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No 3) and was awarded Second Prize in Thailand International Piano Competition in November.
  • 2 May – Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School
  • 6 June – Piano solo: Nikki Wei
  • 4 July – New Horizons Concert Band
  • 1 August -Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School Orchestra
  • 19 September – Feature performance from world-class pianist Katherine Austin (New Zealand) and Glenn Riddle.
  • 3 October – Dandenong Ranges Orchestra
  • 7 November – Anon featuring Nicole Tj (piano), Thomas Lo (violin), Tim Hennessy (cello)

The diverse program includes world-class artists and some of the best creative schools from across Victoria. Bring a friend and make a day of it, with free exhibitions at ACMI and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia and plenty of great cafes open for lunch or coffee.
